Three-year-old boy dies in Naitasiri River drowning

A three-year-old boy has died in an alleged drowning incident in Nacokaika Village, Naitasiri.

Police said the child had accompanied his mother and siblings to wash clothes in a nearby river when he disappeared from sight.

A search was immediately launched, and his body was later found a few metres away from where he was last seen.

Police have confirmed that investigations into the incident are continuing.
