Single-use straw levy??
It seems business operators are taking this single-use plastic levy too far. Case in point, a service station in Suva is selling straws for 5cents. It seemed legit because the cashier entered a POS. And we thought that Government had enforced this levy only for single-use plastics. Now it’s single-use straws.

Danger Zone
The Republic of Fiji Military Forces shooting competition team will continue with its live firing practises at the Nabukavesi Training area in Namosi this week, starting today.
The shooting practises will be conducted from 7.30 am to 5pm.
Members of the public, especially those residing in the Namelimeli, Lobau and Nabukavesi in Namosi areas are to stay away from the exercise area throughout the duration of the live firing practises.
