Akbar chairs London meeting
Minister for Education Rosy Akbar is in London where she is chairing an important session during a meet of the Commonwealth Education Ministers. The personal invitation and the role Fiji is playing in the Pacific is a nod to the many things going right in the country. It could also have to do with Fiji’s successful hosting of the triennial Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers (20CCEM) in Nadi from February 19-23 last year.
That meeting discussed solutions to some of the Commonwealth’s pressing educational issues and ended successfully with unanimous support for the Nadi Declaration.
