It was wonderful to see soccer star Roy Krishna wear a black armband as a mark of respect for the late Dr Jiko Luveni and her family.
Interestingly, a few more Wellington Phoenix players joined in to mark their respect.

Spending season
Those complaining about the tax levy on plastics seem to have taken a much needed holiday. As people stepped out in numbers to do their Christmas shopping, their Eco friendly bags didn’t make it to the supermarkets unfortunately.
If anything, government coffers got a major boost from the sale of plastic bags alone this Christmas. Even more interesting, not a single complaint was heard that the 20 cents a plastic bag were a burden. It truly is the season of spending.
