Although the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua lost 43-40 to ACT Brumbies in their first pre-season clash at Vikings Park, Canberra, on Saturday night, the future of the team looks bright.
Newbies Mesake Vocevoce, Epeli Momo, Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula, Isikeli Rabitu and Motikai Murray took to the field and did not disappoint.
It has been a learning experience for these youngsters as they took on members of the current Australian Wallabies and Australia A teams.

At least now, after three months of tough pre-season training, they've finally got to feel what it's like to play in the big league.
Another positive outcome was how players like Kemu Valetini, Tuidraki Samusamuvodre, Jone Koroiduadua, Elia Canakaivata, Isoa Nasilasila, Peni Matawalu, Samu Tawake, Vilive Miramira and Ilaisa Droasese showed confidence, made their calls and stood by captain, Meli Derenalagi.
These players also showed the level of maturity they've acquired, especially at how they approached the game and controlled play when the situation gets tough.

The Drua is hosting seven home games with the first against the Crusaders at Lautoka's Churchill Park on March 9.
So, let's keep the faith on our Drua side as they gear towards their opening match.
