COVID-19: Government Steps Up Action Against Deadly Virus
Over the weekend, facilities in the Makoi Health Centre in the Central Division were readied to serve as an isolation facility for any pregnant woman, who may test positive for COVID-19.

The Government is preparing our health facilities in the event more cases of the deadly COVID-19 disease are confirmed in Fiji.
Over the weekend, facilities in the Makoi Health Centre in the Central Division were readied to serve as an isolation facility for any pregnant woman, who may test positive for COVID-19.
This Makoi isolation facility is for COVID-19 positive children and pregnant women, who may need to deliver their babies. An Intensive Care Unit with ventilators has also been set up to accommodate such cases.

The engineers, while busy with the construction, have also been mindful of the need to remain safe and follow the advice of medical personnel.
