' Letters': Rabuka's reputation
Now, his days in power are numbered.

As Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has exercised his prerogative to retain Lynda Tabuya as a minister notwithstanding her alleged ministerial misconduct and his own party's decision to consequently remove her as a deputy party leader.
The result of Rabuka's perplexing decision is that his own reputation has gone down the drain.
In fact, Rabuka - the father of the coup culture in Fiji - did not have much of a reputation to start with but many well-meaning people of Fiji were prepared to be charitable and give him another chance to lead the country.
