From a social or psychological perspective, work uniforms can be used as a way to steer the perception customers have of your staff, in turn affecting the way your employees perceive themselves.
There’s a reason for the saying ‘dress for success’.
Dressing your employees in a professional style uniform rather than casual is more likely to give off the impression of authority and knowledge.
When your customers trust your employees’ knowledge, your employees gain more confidence in themselves, making them more productive.
Employees will also feel more trusting towards each other to hold up their end of the work.
Indeed a sign of professionalism.
Disgraceful comments
Jovilisi Waqa, Nausori
Some very disgraceful comments were made on social media after the death of a prominent Fijian.
Is this what we have reduced ourselves to? Never knew our own people to be so ridiculous.
Right on point

Nemani Delaibatiki has said it well, it’s the partnership of the Prime Minister and Attorney-General which will make Fiji the Singapore of the Pacific.
Who would have thought that we would be giving money to mothers or newborns? Who would have thought education would be free right here in Fiji. The leadership of Mr Bainimarama and the policy-making of Mr Sayed-Khaiyum is indeed the winning combination.
Embarrasing

I always knew that the petition filed in the Court of Disputed Returns was a farce from day 1.
The case was filed without evidence and obviously out of spite and sour grapes.
The opposition parties did not believe they lost. They did not believe that the prophecies and their prayers and fasting were not answered. Those who voted for them were being given false hope.
Who is going to believe anything they say now?
They both have been putting a bet each way, by sitting in Parliament and then disputing the election result.
I again urge the Leader of the Opposition as well as the leader of NFP to resign immediately. You two have nothing to offer. Save yourselves from the embarrassment for four more years. I do not believe either of you will last four years in Parliament in any case.
Waste time
Savenaca Vakaliwaliwa, Suva
All the hype and drama of the Opposition’s Election Petition with its top notch lawyers and all the venom spewed on social media against the Supervisor of Election, PM, AG and Government MP’s has all boiled down to two words, ‘waste time!’
The FijiFirst Party polled about 50,000 votes over SODELPA, so why not petition for a recount?
Was the Opposition thinking that if their Election Petition was successful, it would mean another election?
Now that this big lie has been splattered like a pie in the Oppositions’ faces, it also has cost them $7500 - granted to the 27 FijiFirst parliamentarians and Faiyaz Koya while $7000 in costs has been granted to the Supervisor of Elections.
All the bitterness spewed in the last two weeks which was geared at claims of how corrupt and weak our victorious FijiFirst Government is, has backfired on the Op- position, confirming their lies and ever giving confidence to the will of the majority of Fijian voters that their choice is also God’s will and answer to prayer!
To the Opposition, stop wasting time and use the four years to turn the tide in the next election.
No taken lightly
Simon Hazelman, Savusavu
SODELPA Leader Sitiveni Rabuka emphasised that the decision to withdraw their election petition was not taken lightly.
That, Mr Rabuka, is nothing more than a ridiculous statement to make!
SODELPA and the National Federation Party (NFP) simply had no concrete evidence to substantiate their claims! Stop beating around the bush by giving petty excuses because nothing will save you from accepting the responsibility!
Nothing happens by itself and it will come your way by your own exertions. Sooner or later you will have to face the consequences.
Before us lie two paths, honesty and dishonesty. The shortsighted embark on the dishonest path and the wise on the hon- est.
Everyone will experience the consequences of his or her own acts. If his or her acts are good and right, he or she will get good consequences, and if they’re not, he or she will suffer for it.
For SODELPA and NFP, acceptance of the election results is the first step to overcoming the consequences of any misfortune.
