Letters To The Editor: Beach Facilities

I wonder when the Ministry for Environment and local government will work together with Tourism Fiji to build toilets, changing rooms and shower facilities at our top beaches?

Take for example, Wailoaloa beach in Nadi.

It’s long overdue! Lights and security cameras need to be installed as well, with regular police patrols.

A lifeguard house or police post, like at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, should also be made available.

Trust me, it will be a hot tourism location.

This is a wakeup call for the respective town councils to act and get these things done.

Imagine, if your own child or family, especially the females, who would want to use these facilities, but none are available.

Changing rooms, showers and toilet facilities are essential at these popular spots.

I was told that these beaches belong to native landowners!

So, let’s get them involved and make a deal to beautify our popular beaches.
