I am glad and interested to hear about the call made by the Attorney-General, Siromi Turaga, for an investigation concerning the death of a 60-year-old prisoner at the Naboro complex last Saturday.

Very sad if negligence was the reason, but the truth will prevail.

I would also like to ask the learned A-G to go further and involve FICAC to investigate the hundreds of prisoners, past and present, who are still being held against their will when their prison terms have expired.

Former inmate Niko Nawaikula has been fighting for justice for those prisoners since his released and he is genuinely concerned as a lawyer.

What's wrong is wrong and the Government must be seen to correct it.
