In a major step towards strengthening digital safety across the Pacific, Government yesterday signed a key cyber security agreement with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at the Office of the Prime Minister in Suva.
The Project for Improving Cyber security Capability in the Pacific Island Countries agreement will run for three years; it aims to protect critical infrastructure and government systems in the region.
Permanent secretary for Policing, Berenado Daveta, expressed deep gratitude to JICA and its Resident Representative, Satoshi Wakasugi, for Japan’s continued support.
