The Republic of Fiji Military Forces women yesterday created history and pencilled their name on the inaugural women FMF Sukuna Cup.
They defeated the Fiji Police Force women 13-7 at the HFC Bank Stadium during the curtain raiser match to the annual Ratu Sukuna Bowl clash between Army and Police.
Captain and Fijiana 15s forward dedicated the win to the military officers around the country especially those who are on tour in the Middle East.

The Red side was laced with national reps including Matarugu, Bitila Tawake, Rusila Nagasau, Karalaini Naisewa, Doreen Narokete, Merewalesi Rokouono, Lavenia Tinai and Ana Maria Roqica.
The Blues had captain Akosita Ravato, Merevesi Ofakimalino, Mela Matanatabu, Sera Joma Rubuti and former Fijiana Drua centre Litiana Lawedrau.
"We thank God for this win, especially when it is now included in the Ratu Sukuna Bowl programme," Matarugu said.
