Fiji men's sevens head coach Osea Kolinisau indicated that they have settled for second place in the 2024/25 HSBC SVNS Series League due to inconsistency in performance.
Argentina won the HSBC SVNS League with 104 points while Fiji had 96 and Spain managed 88.
"We could have finished first but we were inconsistent," Kolinisau said.

"I think we lost all our semifinals in the dying seconds. The one in Cape Town and in Vancouver we lost the semi-final to South Africa who had six men."
Kolinisau said they had also missed out in the semi-final losing to France 24 -17.
"It's always been a close call and we're learning from it," he said.
"I'm thankful to the boys for their efforts of learning and they have showed that they are growing. It's tough especially after the Hong Kong tournament, expecting a lot from the tournament."
Kolinisau told the players that in their first year, the team is searching for its groove.
"We just grow from the matches we didn't win. We learn about ourselves, the players and especially the management," he said.
"It's not where we want to be, we always want that first place and we're just a few points away from Argentina. We could have done better in Perth where we lost in the quarterfinal, and I think if we made it to the final, that would've been a huge difference."
Kolinisau said it has been a learning experience for the team.
"We're learning and like we showed in Singapore, we just want to find that consistency and maintain it. To build and get stronger."
Kolinisau said they have two weeks of preparation for the HSBC Los Angeles Sevens Championship, which is on May 3 - 4.
"We are starting to see things as a whole, the framework of how we want to play especially in attack and defence," he said.
"We are not consistent yet on that part. I see the growth in the boys on understanding how we want to attack and defend. I told the boys that we have to find the consistency when we have to go fast and slow."
Kolinisau said that his team would have to find the balance in attack and defence.
"We'll be a way stronger team. I urge the fans to keep praying for the boys, we have one more tournament in L.A. before the season wraps up."
The Fiji men's team won the Dubai and Singapore tournaments respectively.
