The opening round of the Skipper Cup clash between FMF Suva and Vinod Patel Ba was considered a friendly match at Bidesi Park today.
This was after the Ba rugby side was non-compliant with their match day jersey.
The jersey the players wore was designed by one of their sponsors BLK and not the QAQA, the designed jersey of the Fiji Rugby Union. That meant the Ba side had breached the terms of participation rules.

The BLK logo was taped off before their match, however the match was called off before full time; Suva was leading 29-0.
When contacted, FRU interim administrator Simione Valenitabua advised that national operations manager Sale Sorovaki and Tikoibau Matawalu would comment on the matter.
Valenitabua however indicated that they would have to wait for the report from the match commissioner and the games' committee before commenting further.
Sorovaki and Matawalu could not be reached for a comment.
