Waikabakaba thanked the old boys and supporters for having faith in the team.
“This achievement is a significant, historic and a milestone one but everything was possible through unity and hardwork,” Waikabakaba said.
“Thank you for the tremendous support in sharing your food and drinks to these young players to carry out their mission.
“These boys shed their fair bit of blood, tears and personal problems but with your support they kept fighting till that final whistle.
“On behalf of the team, the management and the coaching staff I would like to thank the Marist Old Boys Association, their families, the Marist community and supporters for backing the boys throughout the season.”
