Ba Football is leaving no stone unturned as it aims to end their 16-year wait by winning the BiC Fiji FACT tournament title.

The Fiji FACT tournament is from June 19-21 with the semi-finals and final to be played from June 27-28 at Subrail Park in Labasa.

Ba Football Association president Praneel Dayal yesterday unveiled a strong squad featuring Papua New Guinea’s Hekari FC striker John Orobulu, Vanuatu international John Alick, David Supa and Jai Naidu.

Also joining the Men in Black are Patrick Joseph from Rewa, while Ryan Naresh and Nabil Begg returned to the side from Bula FC.

“We must confront our history to rewrite it,” Dayal said.

“The last time the Men-in-Black lifted the Fiji FACT trophy was in 2010. 16 years is too long.

“Labasa has hosted the tournament six times before and Ba has never lifted the trophy on Babasiga soil. Subrail Park is a difficult frontier for us. But history is just ink on paper. What matters is the story we are writing right now.”

Dayal also thanked major sponsor Roylux Realty for its support.

“Your belief in our vision provides the vital fuel our team needs as we head North to chase our ninth Fiji FACT title,” he said.

Roylux Realty managing director Krishn Naidu said the company was proud to back Ba.

“We look past district boundaries. We chose to put our faith in the black jersey. It is a champion brand,” he added.

Ba is in Group B where they face neighbours Lautoka, Nadroga and the unpredictable Nasinu side
