Junior Bula Boys set for visiting Joeys

The Fiji Junior Bula Boys is wary of the visiting Australia CommBank Joeys in their International friendly match at Churchill park in Lautoka today.
During the pre-match press conference at the Tanoa Waterfront Hotel, Lautoka yesterday, Bula boys captain Ibrahim Dean said they are aware that this match marks an Australian national sides return to Fijian soil after two decades.
“We know both teams are looking to gauge their players ahead of their respective future commitments,” he said.
“This is a big opportunity for us, a good match to have such a game. As we will play the OFC qualifiers.”
Team coach Dhirend Chand said this platform is a good one for the players in terms of the professional set up of Aussie team
Joeys captain Miles Milliner said team is really excited for the showdown.
Joeys head coach Carl Veart said, “It is always good to go to take the team to new places. We are looking forward to it.”
“It is more humid here and we will expose these boys. We don’t play pacific teams often, so this is the pathway and give them opportunity to play for Socceroos.”
The Australia CommBank Joeys side comprising of Under 16 players will take on the Junior Bula Boys U19 side at 4pm.
