Nasinu crowned beach soccer champs

The Nasinu Beach soccer club has again stamped its authority on the sands, retaining the Extra Beach Soccer League title for 2025. This has resulted in the team extend its unbeaten run to two consecutive years. 

According to Fiji FA Media, the side’s dominant form and relentless teamwork have firmly established Nasinu as the benchmark for excellence in Fiji beach soccer.

The Southern Zone competition was staged at the Fiji Sports Council beach soccer pitch in Laucala. The competition featured teams like Rewa, Suva, Tailevu/Naitasiri, Navua, Lami, and Northland Tailevu.

After several weeks of thrilling matches, Navua finished second, while Lami claimed third place. Rewa came in fourth, followed by Northland Tailevu. Suva was in sixth spot while Tailevu/ Naitasiri was at the bottom of the table.

Nasinu Football Association president Jagindar Singh expressed immense pride in the team’s continued success, praising their hard work, discipline and commitment.

“I’m proud of the boys for their dedication, discipline, and sacrifice,” he said. 

“Winning the title back-to-back is a huge achievement for Nasinu. It shows the strength, unity, and determination within the team. 

“They have remained focused and consistent, proving that hard work truly pays off.”

Singh said the team’s success reflects not only the players’ efforts but also the dedication of the coaching staff, management, and supporters who have stood behind the team throughout the journey.

“This victory belongs to everyone, the players, coaches, officials, and our loyal fans,” Singh said. 

“We’ve built a strong culture of belief and brotherhood, and that’s been the key to our success. 

“Our goal now is to continue improving and inspire more youths to take up beach soccer.”
