Nand rules junior Golf event
Over 35 juniors from all over Fiji participated at the inaugural Golf Fiji at Novotel. The event was sponsored by Golf Fiji and supported by New Delhi electrical and Easypar Golf.

Aarav Nand was crowned the winner in the under 18 category inaugural Golf Fiji junior golf event at Novotel golf course, Nadi on Saturday.
Nand carded with a gross score of 59 followed by Demon Chen (Ba) on 62 and coming in 3rd was Rusiate from Suva on 63.
Golf Fiji president Amitesh Chandra said it was a huge success with over 35 juniors from all over Fiji participated.
“The event was reduced to 15 holes due to rain,” Chandra said.
He thanked professional golfer Inoke Bolakoro for hosting the event at Novotel and the management for the support and sponsoring the main prize.
In the under 12 category where juniors only played 9 holes, 7-year-old Kairav Prasad of Natadola Bay. He was the winner on 43 followed by Anaya Chand of Ba on 46 and Kayden Prasad 3rd with 47.
In the under 9 category where juniors played 5 holes Lautoka’s Chriyansh Dass claimed the winner with 31.
He was followed by Inoke Bolakoro Jnr on 34 and Joseph Drauniniu who settled for third with 40.
The event was sponsored by Golf Fiji and supported by New Delhi electrical and Easypar Golf.
Chandra confirmed the next event will be held during the first term school holiday at Novotel.
He also thanked Golf Fiji Tournament Controller Rohit Chandra and athletics rep Asish Chand for the support on the day.
