Fiji Juniors to play in Solomons

The Krishneel Kumar coached Fiji national team is hoping to turn heads at the West Pacific Regional Tennis Championship in the Solomon Islands.

This marks another important milestone for the development of the sport in Fiji.

A total of 13 players are representing Fiji across the Under-16, U14, and U12 age categories.

The championship brings together some of the region’s most promising young athletes, providing valuable international exposure and competitive experience for Fiji’s developing players.

Kumar said he had confidence in the team’s preparation and highlighted the importance of the tournament in building experience at a regional level.

“This championship is an excellent opportunity for our young players to test themselves against strong opposition and continue their growth,” he said.

Kumar added that participating in the West Pacific Regional Championship reflects Fiji’s ongoing commitment to nurturing young talent and strength its presence in regional competitions.

The team and coaching staff are hopeful of strong performances and positive results as they proudly represent Fiji on the international stage.
