Nasinu Secondary School left Natabua High School try-less in the first semi-final of the Vodafone Deans trophy at the HFC Bank Stadium, Suva.
They thrashed the Sugar City boys, 44-3, to book their spot in next week’s final.
Nasinu assistant coach Taniela Vakamoce thanked fellow coaches and the team for their brilliant performance.
“We thank God for His provision and for this win,” Vakamoce said.
“The only thing we told the boys before the match is that we have two more games left.”
Natabua only slotted a penalty in the first half and did not score any points in the second spell, while Nasinu ran in six tries.
“We came in faith knowing we’ve put in the hard work.
“We are not taking into account the big margin in the scores, we’re just happy that we’ve executed our game plan.”
