Eastern Saints Gold has set their sights on a place in the FMF Suva Rugby Union Koroturaga Shield Final ahead of their semi-final clash against Birdland Kadavu at the National Stadium, Suva, on Saturday.
Team manager Lekima Qimanavanua told SUNsports, yesterday that their preparations had gone well, with the players working hard to improve their fitness, discipline and execution.
“Our preparation has been good,” he said.

Qimanavanua described the semi-final as a crucial test and said the team understood the challenge of facing one of the competition’s strongest sides.
“Everyone understands the importance of the semi-final, especially against a formidable team like Kadavu. The commitment and attitude from the players have been excellent,” he said.
Qimanavanua said Eastern Saints Gold respected Kadavu but remained focused on earning a place in the final.
“Our goal is to reach the final. We respect Kadavu because they are the team to beat in the Koroturaga competition,” he said.
Qimanavanua also urged their supporters to turn up in big numbers for Saturday’s semi-final.
