Gospel High School's Under-16 rugby team has once again sent a clear message to their rivals  they’re not just competing; they’re here to stay.

Following another impressive performance in the Vodafone Deans competition, team manageress Bulewa Tamanisau praised the boys for their resilience and commitment, noting the significant investment made to get the team to this level.

They defeated Marist Brothers High School, 14-12, in the semi-finals at the HFC Bank Stadium, Suva.

“It’s been a costly journey, but one we were willing to take,” Tamanisau said.

“We began preparations early, and it’s paying off.”

Despite their recent success, Tamanisau insists the team isn’t getting ahead of themselves. With eyes firmly set on the finals, Gospel High is determined to go all the way and bring home the Under-16 trophy.

“The job’s not done,” she added.

“We’re focused on finishing strong.”

With the Deans competition reaching its peak, Gospel High’s U16 squad has emerged as serious contenders and they’re not backing down anytime soon.

They will meet Suva Grammar School next week in the Deans Final.
