Lautoka to host Deans U18 quarters

All the Vodafone Deans Trophy Under-18 quarterfinal matches will be played at Churchill Park, Lautoka, on Saturday.
Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union (FSSRU) vice-president Biu Colati said about 15 matches would be played in Lautoka while the rest would be held at Prince Charles Park, Nadi.
He said while they understand the challenges faced by schools and supporters, it was beyond their control to host all the matches at the same venue due to unavailability of grounds.
Colati also confirmed that the national finals on August 23 would be hosted at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
“All the number one quarterfinal matches will also be played at Churchill Park with the U18 grades.
“It will be quite a mixer of schools in both grounds; we can’t host the same schools
“We need the flood lights in Lautoka because the last match will be at about 5pm,” he added.
The Games committee and executives had another meeting last evening to confirm the draws after this edition went to press.
