The Nasinu men’s team would need to work on their set pieces as they hope to secure a spot in the Skipper Cup competition.

Head coach and former Flying Fijians Kini Murimurivalu was happy with his sides performance after they edged Serua 21-14 in a thrilling extra-time showdown during their Vanua Championship elimination match at the Uprising Resort Grounds in Pacific Harbour on Saturday.

The message was to go out and win and we did that. We thank the Lord for giving them the strength to find a way to win in the last dying minutes, which is very special to the players.

“It was because of the determination from the boys; we had some setbacks at the start with our discipline but I’m happy with the performance done.”

He also acknowledged there for-wards coach who helped strengthened their scrums.

“We want to work on our set pieces. I know every Fijian is good at chaos rugby that’s what I want to instill in the boys – the important of set piece that could win matches.

“Some of these young boys just started with Nasinu; the win is dedicated to them.”

Murimurivalu is calling on Nasinu rugby supporters to rally behind the team and pray for them.
