The Nasinu Under-18 women’s team hopes to win the 2026 Weet-Bix Raluve competition.

Speaking to SUNsports during the launch yesterday, skipper Bulou Kereleani Soqeta said they would train accordingly to achieve their goal.

“Last year we only reached the quarter – finals.

“We want to create history for our school this year and lift the title,” Soqeta said.

The Nakoronawa, Kadavu native said having their U18 team lose the Deans final against RKS motivated them to do better this year.

“We will accept every challenge and hardship and we will try our best to remain focus to reach our goal.

“We need to improve on our defense, passing skill and especially the basic skills in rugby. We are trying our best to improve on those areas before our next game,” she said.

Soqeta has encouraged all former scholars of Nasinu Secondary School to come in numbers and support their team.

“I would like to invite all old scholars, friends and families; please do come in numbers to support the girls.”

The first round of the Raluve zone competition kicks off on Saturday.
