The Jioji Tukana-coached St Vincent’s College will need to improve their game before taking on Nasinu Secondary School in the Weet-Bix Raluve Under-16 girls final at Suva’s National Stadium on Saturday.
This was the view of team captain Talica Vukitabaiwalu after they came from behind to upset favourites Sigatoka Methodist College 15-12 in a thrilling semi-final clash at Churchill Park, Lautoka, last Saturday.
Vukitabaiwalu said they are determined to build up from the win.

“It was a great game for us but we will go back home and come out firing,” she said.
Vukitabaiwalu, who hails from Qoma, Tailevu North, acknowledged the support from the school and the win was for everyone.
“We knew that Sigatoka Methodist had played in the finals before. We studied them closely. We hit the whiteboard, blackboard and even looked at the video analysis. We had to make it happen.
“We will request the school principal for more time to prepare the girls. We have seen where we lacked and we shall work hard on it before the final,” she added.
