Parents and supporters will need to fork out extra money at this Saturday's Vodafone Deans trophy quarterfinals competition if they wish to be at both venues.
Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union (FSSRU) vice president Biu Colati told SUNSports yesterday that spectators will need to buy separate tickets for the two grounds.
Colati said while they understand the inconvenience to most families who'll have players at separate venues it was beyond their control to have all the matches played in one venue.
For the first time this year, FSSRU will host the national quarters at two different grounds; 15 matches will be at Lautoka's Churchill Park including all the Under-18 matches while the remaining nine will be hosted at Prince Charles Park, Nadi.
"The grandstand for both is selling fast.
"The two venues have charged us (FSSRU) differently and in order to pay for our expenses we'll have to stick with spectators buying separate tickets for the two grounds," Colati said.
He added that the gate taking was always used to cover the expenses of the national meets.
"FSSRU will need to reimburse all participating schools with their bus hires to the West; the ground tickets is one of our source of income."
He indicated that hiring of transportation was costly.
"There are only two teams in the West while the remaining six will need to travel from the East and Southern zones; there are more travelling teams which means more transport expenses.
For example Suva Grammar School's return bus hire is about $10k for their five teams and imagine RKS with six teams, also MBHS and QVS with their number of teams," Colati added.
Meanwhile, the grandstand tickets is $20 while the grass is $10; students in uniform will pay $5.
Tickets can be bought through Ticketmax.
