Four employees were sent home by the country’s publicly listed alcoholic beverage producer.

Paradise Beverage (Fiji) Limited said the move was to improve business and add value to customers and consumers and communities.

SunBiz understands two of the four were of senior executive level, while the other two were middle management.

“As we ready our business for the future, we have made some changes which has had a minor impact on some of our people,” Paradise Beverage said in response to queries.

“We are proud to be one of the best employers in Fiji with a strong local presence employing around 500 people.”

Paradise Beverages is a listed company on the South Pacific Stock Exchange.

The company was established in 1957 in Suva in a partnership between Carlton and United Breweries and Carpenters Fiji Limited, to become Carlton Brewery Fiji Limited (CBFL).
