A flash flood alert remains in force for the whole of Fiji as Tropical Cyclone Vaianu continues to influence weather conditions across the country.
The Fiji Meteorological Service said the Category 2 system was located about 530 kilometres west-northwest of Yasawa at 10am today, moving south-southeast at about 9km/h.
A trough of low pressure associated with the cyclone lies over the Fiji group, bringing isolated heavy rain and thunderstorms.

The alert is based on data from the Fiji Flash Flood Guidance System, rainfall forecast models and weather radar.
