Flood warnings are in force for parts of the Western Division as river levels continue to rise following heavy rainfall.

The Nadi and Tuva rivers in Nadroga are now above warning levels, with authorities warning low-lying communities and floodplain areas downstream to remain alert.

A flood alert has also been issued for Ba and Tavua, with concerns heightened ahead of high tide expected around 10:12pm tonight, combined with the delayed impact of heavy rain over the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, a flash flood alert remains in place for Viti Levu, with the risk of flooding in drainage systems, small streams, low-water bridges, Irish crossings and low-lying properties due to intense rainfall.

A similar flash flood alert is also in force for Vanua Levu.

Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant, avoid flooded areas and take necessary precautions.
