The Fiji Meteorological Service has issued a heavy rain alert for the Yasawa Group, the eastern half of Viti Levu — including Serua–Namosi, Navua–Suva–Nausori, Tailevu–Naitasiri–Ra — as well as the Northern Division, the Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
According to the Fiji Meteorological office, a trough of low-pressure hovering over the eastern parts of Fiji is expected to intensify by tomorrow.
As a result, cloudy skies, persistent showers, and periods of heavy rain are likely to continue through Monday, affecting communities across the listed regions.
