A trough of low pressure over Fiji is expected to bring rain, thunderstorms and possible flash flooding across the country until tomorrow.

The National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi said associated cloud, showers and rain would affect most parts of the group, with a moist northerly wind flow currently prevailing.

Occasional rain and isolated thunderstorms, including heavy falls, are expected over the Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, western Viti Levu, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.

Other parts of the country can expect occasional showers, with afternoon or evening thunderstorms likely.

The weather office warned that localised heavy falls could lead to flash flooding in low-lying areas.

Moderate northeasterly winds and moderate seas are expected.

Conditions are forecast to gradually ease from tomorrow.
