A heavy rain warning remains in force for the Northern Division, interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu, Lomaiviti and the Yasawa Group.
A heavy rain alert also remains in force for the rest of Fiji.
The Fiji Meteorological Service said a trough of low pressure lies over the country, bringing cloud, showers and rain expected to affect the group over the next few days.
A moist northeasterly wind flow continues to prevail over Fiji.
For the Northern Division, interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu, Lomaiviti and the Yasawa Group, occasional to periods of rain, heavy at times, with a few thunderstorms are expected.
For the rest of the country, occasional rain and isolated thunderstorms are forecast, with rain becoming frequent and heavy, especially in the afternoon and evening.
Forecast confidence is moderate to high.
Authorities have warned of possible impacts including flash flooding in low-lying and flood-prone informal settlements, businesses and Irish crossings, which may lead to traffic disruptions.
Surface flooding is also expected in urban areas with poor drainage.
Drivers are advised to take caution due to wet roads and reduced visibility during heavy downpours, increasing the risk of accidents.
In the last 24 hours, Nasinu recorded significant rainfall of 151 millimetres.
