Several roads and crossings in the Western Division remain closed following heavy rainfall, the Fiji Roads Authority has confirmed.

The affected routes are in Sigatoka, Tavua and Ba, where floodwaters have made roads impassable to all traffic.

In Sigatoka, Mission Road, Tilivalevu Road and Bypass, and the Nacocolevu crossing are closed.

In Tavua, Nadelei Road (Crossings 4 and 5) and Naseyani Road Crossing No.1, also known as Vitivanua Crossing, are inaccessible.

In Ba, Vunisamaloa Road, Nadhari Road and Tomuka Road are closed to all traffic.

Authorities have warned that continued localised heavy rainfall could trigger flash flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.

Motorists and road users are urged to exercise caution and avoid flooded crossings.
