Surface flooding disrupts major roads across Suva

Fiji Roads Authority warns motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution as several routes become inaccessible due to heavy rain.

Several major roads around the Suva area are being affected by surface flooding, with some routes completely inaccessible to smaller vehicles.

Authorities are urging both motorists and pedestrians to be cautious while traveling this afternoon.

According to the Fiji Roads Authority, the following areas are currently being impacted:

Affected areas include:

• Grantham Road (Gaji Road Roundabout)

• Karsanji Road

• Renwick Street

• Greig Street

• Ratu Dovi Road - Qarase Road

• Kings Road – Valelevu Roundabout

• Pritam Singh Road

• Railagi Road inaccessible to all traffic

Drivers are advised to be vigilant when driving on the road, reduce speed, follow all road instructions and comply with safety measures in place.

The FRA says it is closely monitoring the situation and will issue more updates as conditions change.
