WAF urges households to store water ahead of approaching weather system

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) is urging customers to store enough water to sustain their households for at least two to three days as a developing low-pressure system nears the region.

According to the Fiji Meteorological Service, the system near the Solomon Islands is expected to deepen into a tropical disturbance on Friday, 12 December.

WAF said early preparation is essential in case adverse weather affects water supply operations.
