Chand Wins JM Snooker Trophy at South Seas Club
Nitesh Chand won the 3-foot Jan Mohammed Trophy at the South Seas Club on Sunday, defeating Raymond Reddy in the final. Chand also earned the highest break prize, while Reddy collected $500 for his strong showing. The annual tournament honours former club president Jan Mohammed.

Nitesh Chand emerged victorious, claiming the prestigious 3-foot Jan Mohammed Trophy at the South Seas Club in Lautoka on Sunday.
He won $1000 after defeating Raymond Reddy in the final in the JM snooker championship.
Chand also secured the highest break prize with an impressive 42. Reddy earned $500 and a trophy for his strong performance throughout the tournament.

In the semifinals, Chand defeated Lema Matailevu 3–1.
In the other semifinal, Reddy proved too strong for Jope Nukuqamo, winning 3–0.
Quarterfinalists received $50 each.
Club vice-president Hafiz Rahiman said the JM snooker competition was held in honour of former South Seas Club president and founder Jan Mohammed, who died in 2006.
He said in celebration of his birthday on February 15, the competition would become an annual event.
Club trustee chairman Jan Nissar said: “It’s a wrap from the South Seas Club as the JM Snooker Competition came to a thrilling close with an all-club showdown. In a fitting finale, South Seas Club’s very own Raymond Reddy and Nitesh Chand battled it out for top honours.”
