Queen Victoria School’s Under-14 grade victory last Saturday was the reward of more than five months of training.

The young Victorians carried the weight of the school on their shoulders being the only grade that made it to the Vodafone Deans Trophy final.

They defeated Suva Grammar School, 17-15, at the HFC Bank Stadium, Suva.

Captain Paula Tiko thanked their supporters, parents and old scholars for their continuous support in their Deans campaign.

“We have been training for the past 23 weeks and we thank God for this win,” Tiko said.

“This is just the start of our rugby journey and we will come back stronger next year.”

They won a prize money of $2k.
