Ba fans eagerly await Drua match

Former Flying Fijians elusive winger Vilimoni Delasau said that the people of Ba cannot wait to witness its first Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific at their home turf.

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will host Brumbies at the Four R stadium in Ba in their round five clash on Saturday.

“There has been a lot of anticipation for us who follow rugby in Ba,” Delasau said yesterday.

“When this stadium was under construction, we knew that bigger things is destined for this ground.

“Big teams, big players will come here before our very eyes, as we would only watch and hear them on TV.

“We are grateful that this is the beginning of the many to follow suit.”

Delasau doubts that the 9k seating capacity 4R stadium will be enough for the fans.

“We have been sitting here and asked if it will accommodate the fans. We will also have fans from Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki to get a feel of Super Rugby,” he said.

The Drua and Brumbies match will kick off at 3:35pm.
