Swire Shipping Fijian Drua veterans of Selestino Ravutaumada, Apisalome Vota and Ilaisa Droasese have extended their stay with the franchise club for next season’s Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition. Also, joining them is rookie centre Michael Veitokani.

Ravutaumada and Droasese were part of the 33-member Flying Fijians squad to the Rugby World Cup where they reached the quarterfinal. Vota had been playing for Nadroga during the Skipper Cup and the INKK Farebrother Trophy challenge matches.

Fijian Drua chief executive officer Mark Evans said like the announcement on Wednesday, they’re showcasing further consistency and continuity in the squad for the 2024 season.

“The four backs offer us so much both on and off the field,” Evans said.

“The world’s best rugby fans can look forward to the attacking skills of Stino  (Ravutaumada) and Ilaisa on the outside as well as the power and guile of Vota and Michael in the midfield in 2024.”

The pre-season training for the Fijian Drua has started, with all players except those returning from Flying Fijians duties already at training.

The Fijian Drua will kick-off their 2024 Super Rugby campaign against the Blues on February 24 in Whangarei, New Zealand.
