Solomon Islands rising music star Yang Souljja is set to bring his signature blend of R&B, soul, gospel influences and Pacific rhythms to the FMF Uprising Music Festival 2026.

The 22-year-old singer-songwriter and record producer will be among the regional artists performing at Uprising Beach Resort in Pacific Harbour on Saturday, November 14.

Born Solomon Junior Kalu, the Fiji-born, Malaita-raised musician has been making his mark on the Pacific music scene with original songs and collaborations that have connected with audiences across the region.

His musical journey gained momentum in 2020 when his single “Superstar” reached number three on the Pacific Top 20 charts.

Since then, Yang Souljja has continued to build his reputation through a growing catalogue of music and collaborations with other Pacific artists.

One of his career highlights came when his track “Your Love”, featuring Bajjoh, was selected for The World Album Project, helping introduce his music to a wider international audience.

His releases include the You Na Best EP, Humble Beginnings EP and Pacific-inspired tracks such as “Vanuatu” and “Take Me to PNG”.

He has also collaborated with Fiji's Youngblood on “Beitaki”, further strengthening his connection with Fijian audiences and the wider Melanesian music scene.

Beyond the recording studio, Yang Souljja has gained recognition for his energetic live performances, including appearances at major regional events such as the Pacific Games.

His upcoming performance at the FMF Uprising Music Festival will give Fiji fans an opportunity to enjoy his music live and experience the sound that has helped establish him as one of the Solomon Islands' emerging young artists.

From his roots in Malaita to performances on regional stages, Yang Souljja continues to build a career that reflects the growing influence of Pacific music.

On November 14, that journey will bring him to Pacific Harbour, where he will share the stage with fellow regional performers at the FMF Uprising Music Festival 2026.
