The Fijian Government has endorsed a comprehensive review of the 2013 Fiji National Curriculum Framework (FNCF) to ensure the country’s education system remains relevant and globally competitive.

In a statement, the Office of the Prime Minister said the review aims to make the national curriculum more effective, inclusive, and aligned with the learning expectations of all students.

The Government said the updated framework will also benchmark Fiji’s education standards to international levels while integrating lifelong learning and technology-based education.

Other key goals include improving the monitoring, evaluation, and assessment of learning outcomes and developing a more responsive curriculum that meets the needs of a changing world.

A Taskforce has been established to oversee the initial planning stages of the review process.
