25 Year Old Woman Dies After Being Hit By Vehicle At Veisida, Suspect In Custody

A 25year old woman​ died after she was bumped by a vehicle driven by a 31 year old man who was allegedly under the influence of liquor.

The alleged incident occurred along Vesida Road after 8pm last night.

The victim was conveyed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The suspect remains in custody at the Valelevu Police Station.

The road death toll currently stands a 32 compared 47 for the same period last year.
