Labasa School Dux Inspired by Einstein's Success

Labasa Muslim Primary School dux Fariza Ali drew her motivation from Albert Einstein, the famous physicist.
Even though Fariza, of Year 8 scored 461 marks out of 500, during the annual prizegiving ceremony last Thursday, she vowed to do better next year.
Thus, she enrolled at Labasa College, as she aims to become a dentist and grab honorary doctorate degrees in science, medicine and philosophy like the late Einstein.

"I am blessed to have four siblings who are doing well. One is a police officer, one is a doctor, a clerical officer and a Fiji National University student," Fariza, 14, of Nanuku St, Labasa said.
"Them being in good profession have made my parents proud and I want to make them happy by becoming the first dentist in our family."
She thanked her parents, Tajmoon Nisha and Ashmat Ali, for fulfilling her needs because it's not easy to raise a family with five children.

"Being the youngest I get what I need, but I don't believe in abusing my freedom. My parents always teach me to work hard and as a daughter, I consider myself fortunate to be given the opportunity to receive education and choose whatever profession I want to pursue."
Labasa Muslim Primary School manager Aiyub Khan said the school had started enrolment for next year and assured to enrol any student who would not get any placement elsewhere.
