A year 13 student remains in hospital after being run over by a vehicle inside Queen Victoria School (QVS), an incident now under police investigation.

The car was allegedly driven by a teacher learning to drive, with another teacher in the passenger seat providing instruction.

Student Simo Boladrau described the moment he feared for his life.

"I was running down from the dorms to rugby training. Everything happened so fast. I felt like I was hit from behind," he said.

"The car rolled over me. I couldn't move."

The incident has raised questions about safety on school grounds and supervision protocols.

Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro, a former QVS student, visited Mr Boladrau in hospital, though what was discussed remains unclear.

Mr Boladrau’s rugby future is uncertain, including representing the school in the under-18 Deans competition.

The Fiji Police Force confirmed investigations are ongoing.

His brother, Mosese Boladrau, said the family is seeking answers from the school regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“We just want to know what really happened,” he said.

Questions sent to the Minister for Education remained unanswered at the time of publication.
