Fiji Airways is suing Christian Mission Fellowship Pastor Reverend Manasa Kolivuso over an alleged $3 million unpaid charter flight to Israel in 2023.

Kolivuso has now filed a joinder application, asking for the Government to be included in the case.

Fiji Airways’ lawyer has objected to this application. All parties appeared before Acting Master Liyanage Wickramasekera today at the Civil High Court in Suva.

Four applications are currently before the court. During proceedings, Kolivuso’s joinder application was heard, with his lawyer, Pita Nabulivou, seeking further amendments.

Fiji Airways’ lawyer, Preeti Verma, told the court the airline would strongly oppose the application and requested time to file a response.

Lawyer Aca Rayawa, representing two trustees of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, was also present but is not a party to the joinder application.

The court directed Fiji Airways to file its affidavit in opposition by March 4.

The applicants have until March 18 to file their response. Both parties are to submit their final submissions by April 8.

The case was adjourned to April 9 for mention to fix a trial date.
