Fiji is home to us all, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka reiterated this in Parliament yesterday while touching on the issue of ‘Fijian’ as the national identity.
While he favoured ‘Fijian’ as the common name, however he said it was a difficult issue and not a simple one.
“In his address Mr Speaker Sir, His Excellency called for Fiji to be united as one nation that we all call Fiji home. We need to be united. Those words resonate with me, with us, and with the entire population. Fiji is home to us all. This leads me to the question of our national identity,” Mr Rabuka said.
