CJS expands into Niue, boosting retail access for 1,700 residents

CJS Supermarket has expanded beyond Fiji’s borders, officially opening its first regional branch in Niue, strengthening retail access for the island nation’s 1,700 residents.
Executive Director of the Charan Jeath Singh Group of Companies, Namrata Singh, said the move marked a significant milestone for the steadily growing retail chain, which operates four branches nationwide in Fiji.

“This expansion represents an exciting new chapter for our team and for the many Fijians who call Niue home,” Ms Singh said.
She noted that the strong Fijian community presence in Niue continues to strengthen cultural and economic ties between the two Pacific nations, and the company was proud to extend its services to a market where those bonds remain vibrant.
As part of its long-term strategy, CJS Supermarket plans to import a wide range of goods directly from Fiji to Niue. The initiative aims to broaden product choices, ensure reliable supply and provide familiar Fijian brands to customers living in Niue.
Ms Singh also acknowledged the contribution of the previous owners, John Heise, Anne Heise and Chris Heise, for facilitating a smooth and professional transition.
“Their cooperation and dedication played a key role in making this new beginning possible,” she said.
With the new branch, CJS Supermarket aims to deliver quality products, improved convenience and strong customer service to the Niuean community.
Ms Singh said the company looks forward to building lasting relationships and becoming a trusted part of everyday shopping for families in Niue.
