Court orders release of COI transcripts
The ruling was made this afternoon by High Court judge Justice Dane Tuiqereqere, who found that Justice Lewis had sufficient interest in the proceedings.

The High Court in Suva has ordered the Attorney-General’s Office to release transcripts of the Commission of Inquiry into the appointment of Barbara Malimali as Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) commissioner.
The ruling was delivered this afternoon by High Court judge Justice Dane Tuiqereqere during civil proceedings challenging the Commission of Inquiry report.
The AG's office has until next Monday to release the transcripts to all parties.

The court also granted Supreme Court judge Justice Ashton Lewis leave to join the proceedings as an interested party after finding he had sufficient interest in the matter.
Justice Lewis has been given time to file his affidavit before the substantive hearing scheduled for April 10.
The court was told that Justice Lewis is seriously ill and requires surgery.
